IV.I. Our Own

Life was hard, living on the farm. Clair gave birth to twins - Neal and Nara. Both of them were so sweet and tiny. She loved them so much, even if they stretched their wallet more than she would like. The King gave them some mercy for their first season in their new home. Usually their bills would be 5,000 every season, but he told them if they could come up with half of that this time, it would be alright. They had less than a half a season to raise the money. Claire knew it would be hard,

Song took up fishing to earn money for the family. He enjoyed their little life on the farm. He found a spot right next to their home to fish so that way he could always hear if his wife or kids needed him.

Claire began a garden. It was small, but they couldn't afford much. Still, it would bring them alot of money in its own due time. She knew this because she was already quite good at gardening from her time at the castle.

Freya loved living on the farm. It gave her more freedom than she could have imagined. She could wander the countryside as much as she wanted, as long as she didn't go near any other farms or places people would be. It was much better than living in the dank basement of the castle.

The King was kind enough to allow them a single cow. She was a stubborn old thing, but Claire rather liked her.

She might have been stubborn but she was okay with being milked twice a day. It was a chore that Claire didn't mind. Besides, selling cheese could become quite profitable in time.

Cein even loved it out here. He had lots of room to play and roam, though he missed Prince Charles. He would see him at school but that was it. They hardly had time to talk while there.

Eventually, time passed and Neal and Nara aged up. Nara grew up looking very much like her father with his dark hair and green eyes.

Meanwhile, Neal looked more like his older brother and mother, with his mum's blue eyes and curly hair. It also carried the red tint from Claire's own mother. It made her so happy to see this, oh how she loved her children.

It was going to be hard teaching them their skills while trying to make enough money to live, but it was what they had to do. Claire was ready to rise up to the challenges, as it would be what her mother and father wanted.

A/N: Sorry for the HUGE skip, but i actually lost the photos from before. Not sure if you can tell, but I got my new computer working and the graphics look soooo much better anyway. Neal and Nara were a huge surprise - i was expecting two boys, not a boy and a girl! But they're cuties aren't they? Anyway, sorry for the break and thanks for reading!
