III.IV. Life of a Servant

Life was great from the Silverthorns in the palace. They had plenty of food to eat, they had work to do and they had their son. Sure, it was hard work, but it was good work. Work that they felt good about doing.

Cein spent most of his time downstairs. He had few toys to play with but he seemed happy all the same.

Song was never too far nor was Claire. Song was in charge of making breakfast every morning and dinner every eve. Whatever leftovers there were, the Silverthorns could have and Song often made so much...so there was much leftover.

The Queen Mother did not like her beautiful and special grandson being taken care of by common riff raft. She insisted that they get a maid just for him, but the King wouldn't allow it. So instead, Elizabeth tried to always be nearby when he called so those peasants couldn't touch the young Prince.

Claire didn't mind the Queen Mother's words. And she tended to the Prince when she could. He was adorable and sweet; just a few weeks older than her own child. Charles seemed to like her too and always giggled and laughed when he saw her/

The Princess, however, spent almost no time with her younger brother. There was was relief in her eyes when he was born, which grew into annoyance whenever he was around her. She realized soon she would be married off to some man she probably did not love nor like. There were many prospects in town and she was excited by none of them.

With her child well taken care of, the Queen could paint to her heart's desire. She loved painting and hoped that her daughter might have inherited it from her - but the girl was always grumpy and didn't seem to favor it.

"You're my little prince" Claire would coo to Cein every night before putting him to bed. It was true, Cein was her only child...though her heart ached for more. Maybe someday soon she and Song could have another...

The King enjoyed spending time with his son. He knew it was really up to him to raise Charles to be an excellent heir to the throne.

The Princess, too, had alot to learn. She had to learn to be a good and thoughtful wife. Her Grumpy ways were troubling though. Still her parents insisted on her being educated so that she might still find a good husband in the coming days.

Sadly, with his parents busy so often, Cein sometimes fell asleep on the cold floor instead of in his crib. Claire sometimes felt she was failing as a mother, but Song reminded her that she too had a tough childhood, yet overcome.

Gossip soon spread that the Queen was feeling ill again. Claire feared she might be pregnant and if another baby was added for her to take care of...well she knew she was going to have to try even harder to be a good mother to Cien.

She just hoped that if she failed any further, Cein could grow as strong as she was and find it in his heart to forgive her.

So sorry I've been gone for so long. My computer just WOULD NOT run Sims 3 for anything! But as you can see I got it going again and I had a huge play session last night and have a huge amount of pictures to share with you guys! There might be a chapter overload over the next few days!
